The big DIG!

Last Wednesday (3/20/2013) Stacey and I had the redline meeting at Saddletree's design center. The redline meeting was to make sure everyone (Us, Saddletree Sales, Architect, Designer, and Superintendent) are all on the same page and sign off on the design. This means Saddletree is ready to start the house build. We were told the foundation dig would start sometime next week.

Well it started that Friday 3/22/2013!!!

Stacey and I are going take pictures everyday so we can put them all together into a cool house construction movie.

Still need to pour the vertical portion of the foundation.

Look we already have grass in our lot! The orange stake markings shows the property line. Looks like the neighbors landscaped to the edge of the sidewalk, but that isn't the property line. There is a survay marking in the sidewalk that shows the property line.
Our house looks like it is being wedged in there pretty tight. Cordera has a minimum 5' offsets to the property line so min. 10' between houses. Looks like we will be inside those minimums.

This neighbor is just getting their landscaping put in. The landscapers were storing some of their materials on our lot. Saddletree basically told the landscapers they had to move or lose it. Not the safest place to walk around. It's an 8' fall onto rebar.
