Fire, Stucco and Drywall

13 June 2013

Many of you already know that a very large wild fire is burning in the Black Forest just north of Colorado Springs. The Black Forest starts only a 1/2 mile north of Cordera where Stacey and I are having our home built. Our area is relatively safe since the wind blows from the south and there is some prairie (grass) between us and the Black Forest.

View looking North on Tuesday.
Crack in the garage door glass. Also caught the fire in the reflection.

Prepping for stucco. Chicken wire is used as a base and styrofoam is used for the pop outs.

Cellulose R-19 insulation was blown in and some how it stuck between the 2x6's. Not sure how this was accomplished.  It looks like ground up newspaper. Some over spray got onto the ceiling insulation.

Some of the insulation didn't stick that well and R-13 was put in its place.
